FSSAI Registration in India is a 14-digit registration or a license number which is printed on all the food packages. The motive of this registration procedure is to develop more responsibility on the FBO to manage the quality of the food products. This is to bring down the adulteration in the food and use of sub-standard products.
Basic FSSAI License: They are ideal for small business entities whose annual turnover is less than 12 lakhs. It can be later upgraded to the State license.
State FSSAI License: These are applicable mostly to mid-sized firms that have an annual turnover in excess of Rs. 12 lakhs but less than Rs. 20 crores.
Central FSSAI License: They are largely applicable for large business entities whose annual turnover is more than Rs. 20 crores.
